“A Day in the Death of Joe Egg”

Written by Peter Nichols
Produced by the membership of Theatr Ffynnon

This biting, ironic black comedy focuses on a couple struggling to cope under the pressure of looking after their severely disabled daughter, Joe.
Sheila, the mother, hopes for Joe to recover, whilst the father Brian lives a life of jokes and comedy sketches, creating exaggerated characters from their own lives, in order to avoid the pain and frustration he feels about their hopeless situation.

Challenging, funny & uncomfortably honest!

This play encompasses a cast of professional actors whilst the production & stage management of the play has been undertaken by the membership of Theatr Ffynnon, a membership of adults with learning & physical disabilities.

Pre-Show Talk.
There will be a short introduction given by the Artistic Director and then a question & answer session where the audience will get the opportunity to ask the members about their role in the production of the play.

This play is at the Riverfront Arts Centre on Thursday 15 May & Friday 16 May @ 7.15pm. It is also at the Wales Millennium Centre on Tuesday 17 June @ 7.45pm as part of the Unity/Unidod Festival, Monday 16 – Friday 20 June.
